Three sauces, one habanero

Which one’s yours?

They start in the same place and end up somewhere different. Here’s the short version.

The bright one

Original Habanero

Carrot, citrus and garlic. The first one we ever made.

Heat

Good on

  • Eggs, any way
  • Fish tacos
  • Roasted vegetables
Best seller

The one they come back for

Red Chile Habanero

New Mexico red chile, and raisins whose sweetness tempers the heat.

Heat

Good on

  • Carne Adovada
  • Burgers and brisket
  • A bowl of posole

The direct one

Mango Habanero

Mango, ginger and lime. Simple and clear — it tastes like the thing it’s named after.

Heat

Good on

  • Grilled chicken
  • Shrimp and scallops
  • Cream cheese and crackers

All three are carrot-based, not a mash — whole ingredients, no thickeners, no preservatives. That’s the whole trick, and it’s why they taste like something rather than just burning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What inspired these creations?

In his travels in Belize, Chef Mike was inspired by the fresh flavors of habanero hot sauces available on tables everywhere. Later, he attended several Firey Foods Fests in Albuquerque. This led him to permanently migrate from Maine to New Mexico in further pursuit of his love of all things chile. Soon after, he found his saucy partner-in-heat, “Marie,” who was determined to reunite with her favorite style of condiment as well… A concept was born and resulted in a healthy, yet tasty evolution in flavor and appreciation of Mother Earth’s gift of the chile pepper.

How spicy are the Sauces?

Habanero is a unique heat, each pepper batch varying slightly, but you can expect an addictive warmth that could lead to a sense of euphoria, and perhaps a drop of sweat.

Can I order the Sauces now?

Yes — all three sauces are in production and available to order right here. You’ll also find them on the shelf at Salsa Saint in Old Town Albuquerque, and at New Mexico farmers markets in season.

Is it possible to purchase the Sauces for my restaurant or store?

Yes. We supply stores, restaurants, and specialty markets across New Mexico. Email marieparkskitchen@gmail.com and we’ll send case pricing, case pack, and lead times.
